M&M developments in Cooper Plaza/Lanning Square

M & M Development’s success in the affordable housing world is based on the firm belief that a home is much more than four walls and a roof. Houses are the building blocks of communities and impact people’s lives. People are judged by the communities they come from and being part of a certain community can by itself hinder or help a person’s prospects for success in life.

The Marias, as they are known in the business, believe that Affordable Housing should be the means to improve urban neighborhoods and the lives of the people in urban communities. They proved this point with their affordable rental project, Villa Esperanza, in Newark’s South Ward. These award winning buildings, located at Shephard Avenue and Osborne Terrace have become a beacon in the community and raised the bar for all future affordable housing projects.

M & M Development welcomes the opportunity to bring their work and vision to communities across New Jersey. Their current projects range from affordable rental apartments for People with Special Needs, to affordable condominiums and single family homes in Newark and Camden, NJ.

M & M Development is committed to fostering the dream of homeownership and urban renewal by pioneering the 21st century housing market with modern condominium buildings designed to maximize the use of available land and resources, incorporating green and energy saving features in the construction of affordable, attractive and energy efficient homes.

Radio Lofts

The Victor, Dranoff Properties’ statement for luxury urban living in Camden, NJ, is the catalyst for the $500 million revitalization of the Camden waterfront along the Delaware River.  A once vibrant manufacturing city and home to RCA Victor’s headquarters, Camden has long been underutilized and undervalued.  But in 2004, Dranoff finished the adaptive reuse of the former RCA Victor cabinet factory, transforming it into 341 luxury loft rental apartments.  The Victor’s completion became a powerful symbol of Camden’s revitalization and has spurred multiple new investments on the Camden Waterfront.

The highly successful Victor is only the first project in Dranoff’s multi-phase redevelopment plan for the waterfront. Maintaining 90% occupancy or better since opening, The Victor sets the stage for the next Dranoff project to break ground in the near future, a luxury market-rate condominium building called Radio Lofts.

The highly amenitized Victor’s ground floor retail includes The Victor’s Pub, Market Street Italian Bistro and Pizzeria, Market Gourmet Convenience Store, Rita’s Water Ice, Exit Realty, Symphony in C, and Susquehanna Bank.

The Victor is located in the heart of Camden’s now booming waterfront, with convenient access to the Susquehanna Bank Center, The Battleship New Jersey, the Adventure Aquarium and Campbell’s Field.  An expansive riverside esplanade provides walkers, joggers and bikers unprecedented access to the Delaware River in a park-like setting.  The RiverLink Ferry and a future Aerial Tram provide an easy connection between Camden and Philadelphia, and the Ben Franklin Bridge brings Victor residents into Philadelphia in minutes by cab or car. The Camden Waterfront is also minutes from the region’s main arteries of I-95 and I-676, making Trenton and all of South Jersey easily accessible.  The recently constructed, $900 million “River Line” Light Rail System, which links Camden to Trenton and recently opened a new station steps from The Victor, is fueling further development.

The Victor Community

Residences at The Victor recall the buildings original form and character with high ceilings, oversized historic windows with skyline views of Philadelphia, original sculpted concrete columns smartly integrated into new walls and hardwood floors, exposed ductwork and concrete ceilings.  The 341-residence luxury loft apartment building offers studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes ranging from 520 sq. ft. to 1,880 sq. ft.
